On April 29, 2026, the kick-off conference of the Regional Economic Advancement through Collaborative Hub (REACH-Hub) project was held in Pécs (ELTE CERS IRS).
The event featured partner introductions, an overview of the Interreg Program’s main criteria, discussions on the project’s key challenges, and a review of the next steps. In addition to the staff of our institute, representatives from the Association for Creative Development Slap (Osijek, Croatia), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya (Pécs, Hungary), and the Public Institution Development Agency of Osijek-Baranja County (Osijek, Croatia) attended the event.
The REACH-Hub project aims to identify and remove administrative, economic, and social barriers that hinder cooperation in the Hungarian-Croatian border region. Within the framework of the project, barriers arising during the establishment of cross-border relations will be mapped out. Furthermore, through the involvement of key stakeholders (e.g., economic actors, decision-makers, local communities), an integrated governance model will be developed in the project area.
